2024-2025 Monthly Workshops

(unless otherwise indicated) May-20-2024: President Peggee Frost invites us to come and work on the President's Challenge Blocks. We will be putting the blocks together into quilts to give to Quilts to Share. June-17-2024: Quilts to Share/Open Sew July-15-2024: "Christmas in July!" Join KQ member Sheryl McGovern to sew a Christmas tree skirt. Free workshop titled "Christmas in July!" Join KQ member Sheryl McGovern to sew a Christmas tree skirt. This FREE workshop uses strips and a supplied free pattern to cut wedges that form a tree skirt. Size can be altered. Then just quilt and bind to be ready for Christmas. Full-sized skirt requires 3 yards of assorted fabrics, plus backing, bias binding, and batting. Jelly roll friendly plus 1 yard for additional strips and binding, plus batting and backing. Email Sheryl at [email protected] with questions. August-19-2024: Quilt Appraisals and Consults with Valerie Bonk and Charlene Richtsmeier. Wondering what your quilt is worth? Sign up to bring your quilt, and any information you have about it, to have these certified appraisers take a look. Official appraisals are $60 per quilt. Or, if you're unsure you want a full appraisal, they will provide a consult for $30. If they believe it is warranted, an additional $30 will provide the appraisal. Minimum number of participants required, so please sign up for your appointment soon. Terri will tell us how she got into quilting, with a trunk show and discussion of free motion quilting on a domestic machine.
