Member Resources for the
Keepsake Quilter's Quilt Festival -- October 2-3, 2026
- Only KQ members will be able to register for the Festival. You must become a member or renew your membership by September21, 2026 to be eligible to enter.
- The KQ Quilt Festival committee reserves the right to photograph quilts and display them digitally on our website and/or Facebook page.
- Quilts must be hand or machine quilted. Quilting is defined as a running stitch passing through a minimum of 3 layers. Tacked or tied quilts are not eligible. Limited exceptions are noted in category descriptions.
- Quilts must be a single, stand-alone project. It may not be framed, mounted, or covered.
- Entries into the KQ Quilt Festival cannot have been shown at a previous KQ Quilt Festival/show.
- All guild members are invited to enter up to three quilts in the show, PLUS, an additional quilt in the Festival challenge. The challenge theme is a celebration of all things America. Examples include stars and stripes, Americana, National monuments and park, national symbols, etc.

- Quilt committee reserves the right to change the category of your entry if it is deemed that the entry fits better in another category. You will be notified of the change.
Using the electronic form below, please submit one form per quilt. All quilts must be registered by September 7, 2026 (Labor Day), which allows time for the hanging space to be planned. All quilts must have a secure label. Logistics for dropping off and picking up quilt entries will be forthcoming as the festival date get close.

Quilt Category Descriptions:
100 - Throw or Twin Size Quilt: One Needle - Pieced, quilted, and bound by one person - Perimeter is less than 280, traditional throw size is 50x65, traditional twin size is 70x90.
200 - Throw or Twin Size Quilt: Two Needles - Pieced and bound by one person, quilted by another person - Perimeter is less than 280, traditional throw is 50x65, traditional twin size is 79x90
300 - Full to King Size Quilt: One Needle: Pieced, quilted, and bound by one person - Perimeter is greater than 280 inches, traditional full size is 85x90, traditional king size is 108x108
400 - Full to King Size Quilt: Two Needles - Pieced and bound by one person, quilted by another person - Perimeter is greater than 280 inches, traditional full size is 85x90 and traditional king size is 108x108
500 - Festival Challenge: Size requirement is 24" - 36" and the theme is a celebration of all things America. Examples include stars and stripes, Americana, national monuments and park, national symbols., etc.
600 - Applique: Applique predominates over other techniques in amount or effect. Wool or cotton, no size limit.
700 - Panel Quilt: No size limit. Uses at least one entire panel.
800 - Children/s Theme: Intended use would be for a child or child's room, either as a wall hanging, play mat or toddler/twin bed quilt.
900 - Wearables and Accessories: Items meant to be worn or carried. Must have at least 2 layers of fabric with some type of stitching or quilting holding it together. The item may contain an inner lining that is not quilted. Examples include jackets, vest handbags, totes, bags, etc.
1000 - Home decor: Items whose use beautifies the home. Examples include wall hangings (item was created to hang on wall, longest side not longer than 48"), table toppers, table runners, pillows,etc.
